Fresh fruit punch

Ingredients

2 cups Sugar
1 cup Water
1 Bottle dry white wine
1 (1.5 liter) bottle sparkling
Water
6 cups Chopped seeded watermelon
1 cup Chopped mango or papaya
1 cup Chopped pineapple
1 cup Chopped pineapple

Directions

Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the syrup is clear. Set aside to cool.

Combine the syrup, wine, and sparkling water and stir well. Add the remaining fruit and serve cold. Yield: 12 to 16 servings
