Glazed winter squash

Ingredients

2 Acorn or butternut squash; (3-1/2 pounds total), halved and seeded
2 tablespoons Brown sugar
2 tablespoons Maple syrup
½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Ground ginger
¼ teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley

Directions

Add 2 tablespoons water. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Microwave on 100% power 8 to 10 minutes or until tender. Let stand 5 minutes.

2. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

3. Carefully remove plastic wrap. Cut squash halves in half lengthwise.

Place, skin side down, in a baking pan.

4. Mix brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger and salt in a small bowl.

Spoon over squash. Bake in heated 375 degree F oven 10 minutes or until squash is glazed. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately.
