Grape-nuts® quick bread

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 cup Grape-Nuts® Cereal
2 cups Buttermilk, or sour milk
1 teaspoon Baking soda
2 Egg whites, or 1 egg
1 cup Sugar
4 cups Whole-wheat flour
4 teaspoons S, baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon On, canola oil

Directions

Mix Grape Nuts and milk; add soda; stir well. Stir in remaining ingredients and combine thoroughly (batter will be very stiff). Place in two well greased loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. When done remove from pans and brush top of loaves with melted butter.
