Grapenut bread

Ingredients

1 cup Grapenuts
2 cups Milk
½ cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
1 Egg, well beaten
3 cups Flour
4 teaspoons Baking powder

Directions

Combine grapenuts, egg, and milk. Let stand ½ hour, add sugar. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder and salt. Add to first mixture. Mix thoroughly. Pour into well-oiled loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven (400 F) about 1 hour. 1 loaf. Mrs. George Hale, Geary, OK.
