1 teaspoon Minced onion
1 teaspoon Poppy seeds
8 ounces Monterey jack cheese; thinly

Score bread in a diamond design, cutting to, but not thorugh, bottom of bread. Combine butter, parsley, onion, and poppy seeds. Place cheese slices in slits in bread. Drizzle butter mixture over bread.

Wrap bread in aluminum foil. Place on a baking sheet, and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes. Serve immediately. Yield 1 loaf. Source: Private Collection 2: The Juniour League of Palo Alto, California
