Hot spiced wine - bon appetit

Ingredients

1 | 25.4-oz bottle nonalcoholic Cabernet Sauvignon wine (such as Ariel) or one 750-ml bottle dry red wine | |
2 | smalls | Oranges, cut into 1/4-inch- thick slices |
1 | Lemon, thinly sliced | |
½ | cup | Fresh orange juice |
6 | tablespoons | Sugar |
20 | Whole cloves |
Directions
Combine wine, 5 orange slices, 3 lemon slices, fresh orange juice, sugar and 8 whole cloves in heavy medium saucepan. Bring to boil.
Remove from heat, cover and let stand 30 minutes. Strain. Return to same saucepan. (Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover, chill. Rewarm before filling Thermos or before serving.) Stud 6 orange slices with 2 cloves each. Divide orange slices and 6 lemon slices among cups. Pour spiced wine over.
