Maple cherry syrup

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
¾ cup Maple syrup
½ cup Packed brown sugar
¼ cup Honey
1 each Orange -- juice of one
Orange
1 teaspoon Orange peel -- grated
½ each Lemon -- juice of 1/2 lemon
½ teaspoon Lemon peel -- grated
1 tablespoon Butter or margarine
½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
½ cup Tart cherries -- dried
Chopped

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine the first seven ingredients. Bring to boil over med. heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer 10 min. Add cherries. Cook for 2 min. Serve over cornmeal pancakes, waffles or French toast. Yield: 1½ cups.
