Maple flavored syrup

2½ | each | To 3 cups white sugar |
1 | cup | Water |
3 | tablespoons | White corn syrup |
¾ | teaspoon | Cream of tartar |
3-4 tsp maple flavor | ||
¼ | teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
Directions
Mix together first four ingredients in 2 quart saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is crystal clear. Stir in maple flavor and vanilla extract; continue to simmer for 2 minutes. Pour into attractive containers. Makes 1-½ pints, 1 tbsp per serving. Good with pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc. Will keep longer if kept in refrigerator. Bring to room temperature before serving.
