Meat balls in tomato sauce

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
750 grams (1.5lb) minced beef
1 Onion, finely chopped
50 grams (2oz) lng grain rice
¼ teaspoon Chilli powder (optional)
Salt and pepper
1 Egg, beaten
1 tablespoon Oil
150 millilitres (1/4 pint) water
1 298 g (10.5 oz) can
Condensed tomato soup
Parsley to garnish

Directions

Mix together the beef, onion, rice and chilli powder and salt and pepper to taste. Bind the mixture with the egg, then divide into 8 or 12 pieces and form into balls.

Heat the oil in the pressure cooker, add the meat balls and fry until evenly browned. Mix together the water and soup and pour over the meat balls.

Seal the cooker and heat to high pressure. Cook for 15minutes. Reduce the pressure at room temperature.

Transfer to a warmed serving dish and garnish with parsley. Serve with pasta.
