Mock oyster stew

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Oil
6 eaches Salsify, cut in 1/2 inch pieces (about 6 cups)
1 large Onion, chopped
½ cup Celery, chopped
¼ cup Whole wheat flour
6 cups Milk
2 tablespoons Kelp powder
1 teaspoon Celery greens, chopped
Salt to taste

Directions

Place oil in a large skillet. Add salsify and brown. Stir in onion and celery and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in flour. Gradually add milk, stirring well. Simmer for 15 minutes.
