Overnight five-grain cereal

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 tablespoon Uncooked wheat berries
1 tablespoon Uncooked rye berries
1 tablespoon Uncooked pearl barley
1 tablespoon Uncooked millet
1 tablespoon Uncooked old-fashioned rolled oats
cup Apple juice or water
2 tablespoons Oat bran; optional
2 tablespoons Raisins

Directions

Grind wheat berries, rye berries, barley, millet and oats in grain mill or blender on high speed 30 seconds.

Place mixture in heavy-bottomed pan along with apple juice, oat bran and raisins. Bring to boil over medium-high heat and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Cover pan and let stand overnight. Next norning, reheat over medium heat and serve. Makes 2 servings.
