Party rye sandwiches
1 Servings
Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
2 | Loaves party rye bread | |
1 | pounds | Hamburger |
1 | pounds | Sausage |
1 | pounds | Velveeta (or similar type cheese) |
1 | teaspoon | Italian seasonings (up to 2) |
Chopped green olives with pimiento (optional) | ||
Parmesan cheese |
Directions
Brown meats together. Drain grease. Add cheese and Italian seasonings. When cheese is all melted, spread meat mixture on bread slices. Place on cookie sheet in single layer and freeze. When frozen, place in freezer bags and store in freezer. Ten minutes before serving get as many as you want out and place on cookie sheet. Warm in 350 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Watch so they don't burn. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and chopped olives.
Olives can be omitted on some for those who do not care for them. I realize some people do not like rye bread so pumpernickel bread could be substituted. I, personally, like the rye because it adds a little more "zip" to the sandwich.
