1½ | tablespoon | Honey or syrup, about |
¼ | cup | Rum or brandy |
Directions
Place in a bowl ~ 2 cups finely sifted crumbs of toasted sponge cake, zwieback or graham crackers Add ~ 2 tabs cocoa, 1 cup sifted confectioners sugar, ⅛ tsp. salt, 1 cup finely chopped nutmeats Combine ~ 1½ tabs.

Use your hands to tell when the consistency is right, when the mixture will hold together stop adding liquid. Roll the mixture into 1 inch balls, roll them in confectioners or gran. sugar. Set drops asid in a tightly covered tin box at least 12 hours to ripen.
