Swedish meatballs #2

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
½ cup Minced onion
3 tablespoons Butter or margarine
2 Eggs; beaten
¾ cup Milk
1 cup Soft bread crumbs
teaspoon Salt
1 cup Barbecue sauce
3 tablespoons Sugar
¾ teaspoon Ground allspice
½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
pounds Gound beef
½ pounds Ground pork

Directions

Brown onions in butter or margarine. Combine all ingredients except barbecue sauce. Mix well and shape into small balls about 1 inch in diameter. Brown well in baking pan in preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Arrange browned meat balls in a 2-½ quart heat-resistant glass bowl. Pour barbecue sauce over meat balls and heat for 20 minutes at 350 degrees or cook in an electric skillet. Insert colorful toothpicks to serve.
