Baked stuffed pork chops

½ | cup | Butter |
1 | cup | Stuffing, herb-seasoned |
2 | tablespoons | Parsley; chopped |
6 | Pork chops; thick, cut with pockets | |
2 | tablespoons | Shortening |
¼ | cup | Water |
Directions
Heat water, add butter, and stir until butter melts. Add stuffing and parsley, tossing with fork until crumbs are thoroughly moistened. Fill pockets of chops with stuffing; secure with toothpicks. Brown chops on both sides in melted shortening. Arrange in baking dish. Stir ¼ cup water into skillet drippings; pour over chops. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover; continue baking 15 minutes more or until chops are tender.
