Fruited rice mix

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 cups Uncooked regular rice
½ cup Dried apricots, finely chopped
½ cup Raisins
¼ cup Slivered almonds
¼ cup Dried minced onion
3 eaches Tb chicken flavored instant bouillon
1 tablespoon Dried grated orange peel
1 teaspoon Seasoned salt
½ teaspoon Allspice

Directions

MAKES: 5 CUPS

In large bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well. Store in an airtight container at room temperature. To Prepare 4 servings: Place 1 cup rice mix in a saucepan with 1¾ cups water and mix well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 14-18 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat; let stand five minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.
