Peach and sausage balls

Ingredients

1 | pounds | Pork sausage -- ground |
2 | tablespoons | Chopped onions |
2 | cups | Soft bread crumbs |
¼ | teaspoon | Black pepper |
⅛ | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | Egg -- beaten | |
4 | Peaches -- canned | |
24 | Whole cloves |
Directions
Drain peaches and reserve syrup.
Combine sausage, onion, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and egg. Mix well and form into 8 balls.
Place peach halves, cut side up, in baking dish. Stick 3 cloves in each peach, around the edge. Place the sausage balls in peach cavity.
Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. Drain off fat. Heat the syrup reserved from the peaches and pour over the sausage and peach halves; serve immediately.
Serving Ideas: Serve as an unusual side dish.
