Prune rye bread

2 | cups | Sifted rye flour |
1½ | teaspoon | Salt |
¾ | cup | Sugar |
2 | cups | Sifted wheat flour |
6 | teaspoons | Baking powder |
1 | Egg; slightly beaten | |
1 | cup | Cooked prunes; chopped |
1¾ | cup | Milk |
Directions
Sift dry ingredients together. Combine egg and milk, add to flour mixture, stirring only until well mixed, stir in prunes. Turn into greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Makes 2 loaves.
