1 | tablespoon | Vegetable Oil |
1 | x | Onion |
3 | cloves | Garlic, minced |
2 | cups | Mott's Clamato Juice |
1 | can | 5 1/2 oz Tomato Paste |
¼ | cup | Durkee Cayenne Pepper Sauce |
2 | tablespoons | Rose's Lime Cordial |
2 | tablespoons | Brown Sugar |
1 | tablespoon | Chili Powder |
1 | teaspoon | Ground Cumin |
1 | teaspoon | Oregano |
½ | teaspoon | Salt |
Directions
1) Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic.
Cook, stirring frequently for about 3 minutes or just until onion is
soft. Stir in Mott's Clamato, Durkees pepper sauce, Rose's lime
cordial, tomato paste and remaining ingredients.
2) Increase heat and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat and simmer
uncovered for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally especially near the end
of cooking. Sauce will thicken slightly.
Delicious brushed on BBQ chicken, ribs or burgers.
