Tempting tuna bake

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
8 slices White bread
1 cup Shredded Swiss cheese
1 can (7 oz.) tuna; drained and flaked
¼ cup Chopped green onions
¼ cup Chopped celery
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
2 cups Milk
2 Eggs; slightly beaten
½ teaspoon Salt

Directions

Alternate layers of bread and cheese in well buttered 9 inch square baking dish. Begin with bread and end with cheese. Sprinkle tuna over all. In small saucepan, cook onion and celery in butter until vegetables are tender. Remove from heat. Blend with milk, eggs and salt. Pour mixture over tuna in baking dish. Bake at 350 until puffy and lightly browned. Makes 4-6 servings.
