Green beans in beer sauce

½ | cup | Beer |
½ | cup | Butter |
¼ | cup | White vinegar |
¼ | cup | Brown sugar |
1 | tablespoon | Onion, minced |
2 | tablespoons | Cornstarch |
½ | pounds | Crisp bacon, crumbled |
Salt and pepper to taste |

Wash beans and slice on the diagonal into 1 inch pieces. Place in saucepan with beer and butter. Cook over low heat until crisp tender, about 15 minutes. Remove beans with a slotted spoon and set aside. Combine vinegar, sugar, onion and cornstarch. Stir in liquid and cook until thickened. Thin with a little beer if necessary.
