Shrimp spice and seafood seasoning

2 tablespoons Mustard seed
2 tablespoons Dill seed
2 tablespoons Hot red pepper flakes
2 larges Bay leaves, crumbled
½ teaspoon Whole cloves
½ teaspoon Whole allspices
½ teaspoon Black peppercorns
½ teaspoon Ground ginger
Makes 1/2 cup.

SHRIMP SPICE (CRAB BOIL

Combine all ingredients; add to water when boiling seafood. SEAFOOD SEASONING: Replace whole spices with ground where possible; combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and whirl into a powder; mix in ½ c salt. Sprinkle over seafood and sauces. Makes 1 cup.
