Sweet and sour hamburgers

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
½ cup Water
¼ cup Cider vinegar
¼ cup Packed brown sugar
1 can Pineapple chunks; juice of
3 tablespoons Packed cornstarch
½ teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Soy sauce
pounds Hamburger
½ cup Minced onion
½ cup Sliced green bell pepper
1 can Pineapple chunks (from above)

OTHER INGREDIENTS

Fry hamburger patties smaller & thicker than for buns; brown well. Combine sauce ingredients & cook until clear & slightly thickened, stirring often.

Add meat & simmer over low heat for 30 minutes or until tender. Add remaining ingredients & cook for 2 minutes. Serve over hot rice.
